Origanum vulgare ( Origanum vulgare)

This plant, so beloved by bees and butterflies, has a very long history of healing. The Greeks used it very widely as an antiseptic for both external and internal infections.

It was believed that the plant has a calming, antiseptic, pain-relieving, digestive stimulating, pertussis-relieving, diaphoretic effect. Externally used as an anti-inflammatory agent in cases of inflammation of the oral cavity, tonsils, and skin.
